Utah Governor Spencer Cox is catching attention after admitting what he prayed for following the murder of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.
Speaking on the tragedy, Cox said he spent over 30 hours hoping the suspect wouldn’t be from Utah, or even from the United States. “For the last 33 hours, I had been praying that this person was from another country,” Cox revealed.

He later admitted that his prayers weren’t answered the way he wanted, explaining that the person responsible turned out to be local.
As the investigation unfolds, Cox’s comments have added a controversial layer to an already difficult moment.
