Virginia Police Believe Four Bodies Found Are Victims Of ‘Shopping Cart Killer,’ There Could Be Other Victims

Virginia police believe that the bodies found at two different locations in the state are attributed to the “Shopping Cart Killer.”

Anthony Robinson, 35, gained the nickname by using shopping carts to transport his victims’ bodies after meeting them on dating websites and luring them to motels. Last month, Robinson was charged with murder after police found two bodies in Harrisonburg.

The victims were identified as Allene Elizabeth “Beth” Redmon, 54, and Tonita Lorice “Nita” Smith, 39. During the investigation into their deaths, evidence led police to search an area in Fairfax County near the Moon Inn. That led to the discovery of two other bodies. One is believed to belong to Cheyenne Brown, 29, while the other victim remains unidentified.

“The good thing is he’s in custody. The challenge that remains is identifying other victims,” Fairfax County Police Chief Kevin Davis said at a press conference on Friday.

Police are now looking into whether there are other victims. They believe his dating history will provide clues. Robinson has lived in multiple locations, such as New York and Maryland, over the years.

Robinson has not been cooperative with the police since being taken into custody. He has not been formally charged in Fairfax County, but officials say charges are forthcoming.

Robinson will next appear in court in Harrisonburg on December 27.
