Watch: Growing Up Hip Hop Trailer (VIDEO)

Back in March, Baller Alert broke the story that Angela Simmons was executive producing and starring in a new reality show centered around the children of hip hop stars. The show, “Growing Up Hip Hop,” stars Angela (Rev Run), Romeo Miller (Master P), TJ Mizell (Jam Master Jay), Boogie Dash (Dame Dash), Egypt Criss (Pepa & Treach) and Kristina Debarge (James Debarge), and will air January 7th on WeTV. 

The network released the first official trailer for this season and it looks quite interesting. We see the kids try to find their own way, outside the shadow of their famous parents, while still getting guidance from the OG’s in the game. It looks like Angela Simmons and Romeo Miller have a little chemistry, but things get a little complicated when Kristina Debarge tries to move in on the former child star. Aside from the relationship storylines, Kristina deals with her father relapsing and her family’s concern that her excessive partying could be leading her down the same path. Angela deals with a stalker who shows up at her home, events and genuinely creeps her out. The troubles of a celebrity kid.
