Wendy Williams arrived in Florida to celebrate her father’s birthday amid her ongoing conservatorship battle.
With a wide smile, she was captured cruising through Miami International Airport on a scooter in a video shared by TMZ. The former talk show host was spotted on Saturday afternoon, wearing fuzzy black boots and a matching black coat, easily maneuvering through the busy travel hub.
She was seen heading towards a black SUV. Although she didn’t engage with the press following her, Williams could be heard laughing and chatting with her aides. At one point, she mentioned to her bodyguard that she was “famished” and needed to get food. Before jumping into the car, she took a phone call, though it’s unclear who she was speaking with.
Wendy’s trip to Miami comes as she celebrates her dad’s 94th birthday, marking the first time in months she’s been able to socialize. A judge approved her trip amid her guardianship fight. On the “2 Angry Men” podcast, she revealed plans to see her son Kevin at the gathering. She said she didn’t anticipate any awkwardness, despite feeling that he mismanaged her finances and partly triggered her guardianship.
Wendy has filed to end the legal guardianship, which she says has made her feel like a prisoner.
