Wendy’s is leveling up its drive-thru game.
The fast-food giant just announced it’s expanding its voice-enabled AI ordering system, FreshAI, to 600 restaurants after a successful pilot at 100 locations.
CEO Kirk Tanner says the tech, developed in partnership with Google Cloud, “improves the customer experience and enables some labor efficiencies in our restaurants.”
By the end of 2025, the AI assistant will be handling orders at a big chunk of Wendy’s nearly 6,000 U.S. locations.
Tanner even tests it out himself a few times a week at a spot near the company’s headquarters in Dublin, Ohio.
Looks like Wendy’s is ready to let AI do the talking.
