What to Watch This Weekend: Thrillers, Docs, and Series on Streaming

Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words

It’s a quiet weekend for theaters, but with Halloween just over, now’s the perfect time to check out thrillers still showing on the big screen.

If you haven’t caught Smile 2 yet, it’s packed with suspense and jump scares to keep those spooky vibes going. Or take it back with the prequel Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

While theaters might have to slow down, streaming is stacked with fresh picks:

•Megan Thee Stallion: In Her Words (Prime Video) A documentary that brings us right into the Houston Hottie’s world, showing her rise, challenges, and the real Megan behind the hits.

•Time Cut (Netflix) A teen thriller where a girl travels back to the early 2000s to stop a killer from targeting her sister. Think Y2K vibes with a chilling twist.

•Wizards Beyond Waverly Place (Disney+) A new series following adult Justin Russo who’s just trying to live a normal life with his family. But when his sister Alex shows up with a young wizard in training, he’s pulled back into the magic world to mentor her, protect the Wizard World, and juggle family life.

So even if the theaters are quiet, streaming has you covered this weekend. Grab the popcorn, pick your platform, and dive in!
