Delonte West won’t be shaking the hands of President Obama any time soon. While the Mavericks were enjoying the day with the Pres yesterday, Delonte was asked to stay home after being banned from stepping foot on White House grounds by the president’s security. He didn’t do anything to the President directly, but his shaky past and prior criminal history didn’t sit well with security.
Don’t cry for the DC native however, he took to Twitter to voice his thoughts on the un-invitation.
“I’m banned from the White House, so I’m not going to make it. But I’m going home to DC, I’m just not allowed to go to the White House. That’s what happens when you make bad decisions in your life. You can’t go to the White House. I’ve been there 100 times in my lifetime. I live right around the corner. I live in D.C. It’s going to be ashamed the President isn’t going to get a chance to meet me. I’m the president of my house”
