White Woman Who Called Police On Bob Marley’s Granddaughter Is Now A Victim In The Incident

In the last few weeks, there have been several instances where White Women have phoned officials to report a Black person for being black, from #sittingwhileblack, #movingwhileblack, and #grillingwhileblack to the recent incident involving Bob Marley’s granddaughter. But, in the two most recent cases, the White Woman involved somehow became the victim in the situation.

Last week, after a woman stood and harassed a Black family for grilling, she cried to police, claiming she was a victim of violence after she claimed she was shoved and attacked in the park. In the other incident, after a white woman phoned officials to report unfriendly black people, she now claims she is a victim of death threats.

A spokesperson for the City of Rialto tells The @Blast, that the elderly White woman, who called the police on Donisha Prendergast and her friends as they left an Airbnb, has been receiving “multiple threats to her safety” since the April 30th incident.

At the time, the owner of the Airbnb said the incident occurred after the group failed to wave at her white neighbors. She said Prendergast was her first houseguest, so she didn’t blame the neighbors for calling the police. But now, in the wake of the backlash, the 911 caller is the victim.

According to the Blast, officials say they have made a conscious effort to keep the woman’s identity under wraps to protect her from any potential revenge plot or vigilante justice over the race-related incident. But, they say she’s received countless threats, most of which have been on social media, and despite the fact that the woman doesn’t use social media, the police say they are still taking all threats seriously.

In the meantime, Prendergast has lawyered up in the wake of what she believed to be a racially motivated incident.
