Woman Sues Claiming Rihanna’s RiRi Woo Lipstick Gave Her Herpes

A fan by the name of Starkeema Greenridge says she’s been given a gift that keeps on giving while attending a Rihanna concert at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY.

Greenridge claims that while at the Rihanna concert she was approached by a MAC Cosmetics representative who was hawking samples of Rihanna’s new RiRi Woo lipstick by MAC, that was set to hit the market soon. Greenridge says the MAC rep applied the lipstick to her lips directly from the tube, then told her to press her lips together and spread it around.

The suit claims the lipstick had been previously applied to the lips of others at the concert, and unfortunately one of those people was infected with herpes. Greenridge says that a day after the concert she noticed her entire lip was irritated and hugely swollen. When she went to the doctor she was told she had herpes.

The suit accuses MAC of shoddy business practices — applying lipstick directly from the tube instead of using either disposable samples or individual swabs.

Greenidge is suing MAC Cosmetics, Inc for unspecified damages.

Now STARKEEMA, I don’t know how old you are but what made you think that applying lipstick directly from the tube on to your lips is ever okay KNOWING the lipstick has been applied on to someone else other than you? Every MAC Cosmetics store I have ever been to uses applicators and/or will dip the lipstick in alcohol first, which leads me to believe that either Starkeema has never seen a MAC store in her life or that “MAC representative” never worked for MAC in the first place. Either way, she should have never let that woman put lipstick on her lips. Now she’s out here with the Monster.

On another note, I own RiRi Woo and I love it. Rihanna’s also dropping RiRi Boy and Heaux lipsticks online on June 6th. You’re welcome.
