Would You Date A Man With Kids?

It’s easy to say who we will and won’t date and it almost seems like dad’s carry some type of stigma with them. You never hear a guy say “I wasn’t date a woman with kids” but for some reason, you hear a woman say it more often than not. Why is that?

Let’s start with the obvious. As you get older, its going to become harder to find a guy who has no kids or has never been married. At some point as a woman, you’re going to have to get over that little “rule” of yours. Dating a guy with kids can be a great thing. If he’s an active person in his kids life, you get an up close and personal look at his core values. Nothing is greater than a good man with family values right? At least you know that if you were to ever bear his child that he would be  a great father to your children the way he has been to the ones he has now. On the other side of the coin, if he’s a lousy father to them, he’ll possibly be a lousy father when it comes to you, so beware.

You’ll have to look at the bigger picture also. A lot of guys will date a woman who has kids. Granted they put rules on it like “Only one kids” or “2 kids max, but with the same guy” but they’ll still give her a shot. Would you leave an otherwise perfect guy because his little swimmers have fertilized an egg before? What are you afraid of? That it is contagious? Many will say they fear getting attached to the child. Well you know what, welcome to adulthood and grown adult problems. You might get attached to his Ferrari too, until he sells it. Of course, if a man introduces you to ANYTHING you risk becoming attached. That doesn’t mean you run for the hills just because he’s dropped the bomb. You cope with it. A real man is going to be far more cautious than you are anyway. A real man wants to avoid his kids becoming attached as well so he’s going to do whatever is necessary to make sure that they don’t get hurt and if that means not introducing you to them at first, so be it. It’s not like JUST because he has kids, he’s in any rush to find a step mother for them.

Try being a father f*cker for once, it may not be so bad. You can also try going your entire life looking for a guy over 30 who doesn’t have kids. Then when you don’t find him, complain about how there aren’t any good men left out there. That’s if you’re into impossible missions.
