It looks like Ye is taking another major L in the business world. The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has officially pulled the plug on several of the rapper’s trademark applications after his legal team failed to keep up with the paperwork.

According to RadarOnline, this massive sweep included 20 different applications for the name “Yews,” a brand Ye had been trying to slap on everything from jewelry and household goods to food and drinks.

The “Yews” brand first made noise back in 2024 when Ye launched an alt-right news site called Yews News. The site was short-lived, only staying live for a few months, and it seems the trademarks followed the same path. Many of these filings expired simply because Ye’s trademark firm, Ox Paha, didn’t provide proof of how the marks were actually being used in time to meet federal deadlines.

The situation gets even more embarrassing for Ye’s team, as reports indicate that Ox Paha hasn’t successfully gotten a single application approved by the trademark office in the last five years. Because of this lack of follow-through, other iconic names associated with Ye’s legacy have also been abandoned.

Fans might be shocked to hear that applications for Ye, Yeezus, Yeezy Sound, and Donda are among the “dead” filings that have fallen by the wayside.

“These filings expired because the proper steps weren’t completed in time,” a source explained regarding the haphazard management of the artist’s intellectual property.

Without these trademarks secured, Ye loses the exclusive legal right to use these names across various commercial categories, potentially opening the door for others to capitalize on the branding.

With his fashion partnerships already a thing of the past and his news site defunct, this latest blow to his trademark portfolio is just another sign of a crumbling business empire.
