Young Thug revealed that he has been making genuine efforts to bring Drake and Future back together during a recent appearance on Adin Ross’s livestream.

He emphasized that his work to repair relationships between some of hip hop’s biggest names has been ongoing and sincere.

Referencing his track “Miss My Dogs,” Thug highlighted a line from the second verse in which he called Drake “my brother” and described trying to get him, Metro Boomin, and Future “on the same page.”

On the stream, he explained, “Listen, I’m trying. I can show y’all text messages in my phone. I have been trying this s**t…I was trying this s**t in jail. Like, the s**t in the song [about] trying to get him, Metro, and Pluto on the same page? That really happened. Actually happened. That ain’t no cap. That’s real. That really happened. I just try to make it work…Some of y’all’s biggest hits are together.”

Later in the stream, Thug also addressed the current state of collaboration in rap, noting how rivalries and inflated egos have made creating music together more difficult.

“Those were the times, I’m telling you,” he said. “It’s just so many egos and so much s**t now, it probably won’t even ever get back to that. That’s one of the reasons why I feel like I’m done with this s**t, because it won’t ever be the same. I like collaborating, I don’t like competing…There’s nothing to even compete about.”
