The actress disclosed that he had completely lost her trust. But she doesn’t seem to be fazed by it. She was spotted with recently divorced Joshua Jackson and some friends for a night out.
The duo were spotted at Janelle Monae’s concert in Los Angeles.
On Thursday, Lupita posted her thoughts to those suffering around the world and then switched over to her breakup.
“At this moment, it is necessary for me to share a personal truth and publicly dissociate myself from someone I can no longer trust…”
“I find myself in a season of heartbreak because of a love suddenly and devastatingly extinguished by deception.”
“I am tempted to run into the shadows and hide, only to return to the light when I have regained my strength enough for me to say, ‘Whatever, my life is better this way,'” she explained. “But I am reminded that the magnitude of the pain I am feeling is equal to the measure of my capacity for love. And so, I am choosing to face the pain, cultivating the courage to meet my life exactly as it is, and trusting that this too shall pass.”
Nyong’o, 40, hopes sharing her breakup with followers might help someone else who is going through “the grip of heartbreak who is poised to try and escape from the pain and miss out on the wisdom that comes from it.”
“The promise, they say, is that a tender heart is what gives birth to fearlessness,” she added. “I hope it’s true.”
Masekela, a designer, disclosed he had a crush on the actress in 2016. The two went official on Instagram in December 2022, when She posted at the time, “We just click!” and “#thisismylove.”

The Oscar winner and the Glass Onion star have been good friends since meeting at the 2014 Met Gala. But then their closeness sparked dating rumors.
Lupita, who is in a relationship with Selema Masekela, says she wasn’t surprised and can understand why people thought they were an item, E News reports.
“I don’t mind being associated with her in any capacity. She has magnetism that they were obviously picking up on,” Lupita told Rolling Stone magazine.
“She is that enigmatic. People are curious about enigmatic people.”
“It’s built into her spirit,” the Black Panther star said, adding that her friend is “extremely gifted.”
“Her openness creates intimacy onscreen. It’s really cool to see her move from one thing to another and do it with such mastery.” But noted, as Janelle’s friend, you’re not going to know everything about her, which makes her interesting.
And Janelle is very protective when it comes to her love life. In 2018, she came out as a pansexual.
“I have a policy and agreement with myself—that is a part of my life that I want to keep private,” the 37-year-old—told Rolling Stone for their new cover based on her. “I can talk about my identity; I can talk about my sexuality. I can talk about all things Janelle Monáe without having to go into detail. You know what I mean? It’s not necessary.”
“I’m not obligated to share my story. Nobody’s obligated.”

However, ‘Us’ cost $20 million to make, so its massive opening weekend is definitely a huge deal for Peele and Universal Pictures. The new-school horror film snatched the top spot at the box office from ‘Captain Marvel,’ which only held the position for two weeks and slid to second place with $35 million in its third week.
Distribution chief for Universal, Jim Orr said, “Peele has really crafted an extraordinary story that I think once again is going to capture the cultural zeitgeist. He is recognized as just an amazing talent. He crafts films that make you think, that are extraordinarily well-acted, well-written and are amazingly entertaining.”
‘Us’ has become the largest debut for an original horror film, only in competition with the ‘It’ remake and last year’s ‘Halloween.’ It is also one of the highest openings for a live-action original film since ‘Avatar,’ 10 years ago.
Congratulations to Jordan Peele on another movie success with ‘Us’! (And if you’ve already seen the film, don’t spoil it for those who haven’t yet!)

“He created a cinematic experience that we could grab and take with us,” she added, as she explained how the film consumed her free-time and personal conversations. “It became such a joy to just live in his mind.”
“I was like, I need to work with that guy right there,” she said.
So, when the opportunity presented itself for ‘Us,’ Nyong’o was already onboard.
“He was like, ‘And if you do this film, and if…’ and I was just laughing, because of course, I’m going to do this film,” she said. “Of course I’m doing it! Whatever it is,” she added, as she revealed that she made sure she “had something to offer” for the complex role.
“I read the script kind of with one eye, being like ‘Oh god, oh god, oh god,’ and my shoulders are going up up up up up,” she said. “And I finished, and was like, this is amazing. Also, what is it about? Like, what else is it about? Because I could tell, it was more than met the eye.”
“He’s so smart, and I could tell that this was more than just the surface,” she added. “And I wanted to make sure I had an instinct for the thing he wanted to say.”

Actress Lupita Nyongo recently opened up on how she was once shunned for her natural hair.
During an interview with Porter Mag, the 35-year-old “Black Panther” star shared the abuse she endured from rocking her kinky tresses. “My hair is something that, historically, has been shunned. I mean, how often do you hear ‘You can’t get a job with hair like that’?” said Nyong’o.
“Natural, African, kinky hair — it’s often been painted as uncivilized or wild,” Nyong’o continued. “Being featured on the cover of a magazine fulfills me as it is an opportunity to show other dark, kinky-haired people, and particularly our children, that they are beautiful just the way they are.”
Nyong’o has been scrutinized in several incidents for her hair; however, she’s never let that stop her from exemplifying her true beauty. We were stunned when she showed off her fro during the 2016 Met Gala. Unfortunately, her style was mocked by society. It happened again when she posed for the cover of Grazia UK back in November 2017 when the magazine edited her hair into a sleek ponytail. Nyong’o clapped back at their disrespectful actions, which they later apologized for. “I am disappointed that @graziauk invited me to be on their cover and then edited out and smoothed my hair to fit their notion of what beautiful hair looks like,” Nyong’o wrote on Instagram.

Prior to her most recent experience, the actress opened up about being sexually harassed by #HarveyWeinstein — to which she reflected on how her mother influenced her to speak out about her heartbreaking experience. “I come from a very patriarchal world, but not within my family,” Nyong’o said. “My dad listened to my mom. My mom held her own. There was never a sense of her deflecting from my father. She had the power to say no to things, and I saw her hold that power.”

Lupita Nyong’o is the new face of Lancôme and the image hit the internet today (June 24th). The gorgeous actress is having an awesome year being labeled as People’s Magazine 50 most beautiful woman of 2014, winning an Oscar, being on the cover of Vogue, and so much more to come.
She has stole many hearts with her sense of style, humble heart, and most of all just being beautiful. It came to no surprise when she was chosen for the ad. She absolutely stunning.
Lupita spoke with Women’s Wear Daily about the Lancôme deal:
“What appealed to me about Lancôme is that they’re not dictating what beauty is. What they do supports something that already is — and that was appealing to me, too. It’s what drew me to them. Hopefully it’s a symbiotic relationship — that I benefit from being associated with them, and they benefit from being associated with me, as well. And for the consumer at large, I think Lancôme has a range of products for every woman, and I think having me will expand people’s understanding of, hopefully, what Lancôme stands for, who Lancôme is for”.
She then talks about beauty means and how actors are significant to Lancôme:
“I had to give a speech about beauty right before the Oscars,” she continued, “and for me, beauty is a compassion for yourself and those around you. And I think that in focusing on that, the light inside illuminates the beauty outside. The idea that Lancôme now has a few actor ambassadors is significant because actors are not just faces, they are spirits that people enjoy and relate to more than in an aesthetic way. We have the privilege of standing for something other than just looks.”
Congratulations Lupita! Thoughts on the ad?
