Roc-A-Fella has scored an early victory in its case against Dame Dash. A judge ruled Tuesday that Dash is prohibited from selling an NFT of Jay-Z’s debut album, Reasonable Doubt.

TMZ reports that any planned auctions to sell an NFT of the album are not permitted to move forward. A federal judge ruled that Roc-A-Fella and Jay’s arguments were “deemed credible and correct,” according to an outlet.

This will likely not be the last the Roc has heard from Dame Dash and is likely only the beginning of the case.

Roc-A-Fella filed a lawsuit against Dash because he does not own the rights to Reasonable Doubt. Instead, the company owns it. Roc-A-Fella claimed that Dash was trying to cash in on the NFT craze and took him to court to put an end to any potential sales. They were also requesting he turn over any NFTs already minted.

Dash claims he’s trying to sell more than just Reasonable Doubt. He’s trying to offload his entire stake in the label. He says Jay hit him with a lowball offer to buy him out, so he’s looking for a better offer from someone else.

Hip hop mogul Damon Dash sat down with Baller Alert to talk about his engagement, family life, and his new streaming service, Dame Dash Studios, which launched today.

The entrepreneur just popped the question to fiance Raquel Horn on Tuesday and gave an interview with his new baby on his lap from his home in LA.

“I’ve been with Rocky – she’s become the muse of my life – for the last 13 years,” he said. “We went through a lot. We lost a baby after seven months, and a year later, we have one. This is the happiest I’ve ever been.”

“I’ve never really been able to enjoy my children because I was never with the mothers once they were born. I’d be a fool to let her slip by because she deserves it,” he added. “She’s my queen. She created life, so that makes her God. And she runs the companies.”

Dash says he’s been able to become a stay-at-home dad and loves it.

“That’s what I’ve been working for. Had I not experienced this – I wouldn’t have ever gotten what I’ve always wanted.”

Dash’s Dame Dash Studios launched today, Feb 11, and features original programming for users who subscribe to the service.

“We’re making original programming. In launching this app, it’s all about intent. You’ll be able to shop while you’re watching because I’m very savvy at fashion and music,” he said. “My programming is very targeted. It’s about being healthy – economically healthy and psychologically healthy. Rocky has a TV show Health is Wealth about vegan cooking without breaking your pockets.”

He said there’s yoga, therapy, scripted series, movies and new stuff daily that’s coming.

Dash also offered some advice to those looking to follow his path of making it big.

“You have to look at what you want your future to look like in 5-10 years. And make sure you know how to dream. If you can’t visualize it, how can somebody else?” he said.

“Have that dream. Be able to visualize it and articulate it and make sure you stay with like-minded people. And fight hard – it’s not gonna be given to you. Just because you have a dream doesn’t mean it’s gonna happen. It’s what you want to happen and you know what to focus your energies on.”

He reminded the youth that you’re not going to be young for long, and the road to success is a long journey.

“Start investing in your life now and make sure the people you love know. Don’t be selfish. A boss cares about other people before they care about themselves,” he said.

Damon Dash is currently spending time with his friend Kanye West at the Wyoming ranch and has denied that Kanye is “crazy.” He also says he doesn’t “give a f***” if his wife, Kim Kardashian West and her family disagree.

According to the Daily Mail, Kanye and Dash were spotted together at the bank and Walmart.

“People think he lost his mind just because he cried. The way he lost his mind and jumped on a jet and then jumped off the jet to come back to his 40,000-acre ranch? Yeah, I’d like to lose my mind like that,” Dash said.

“There’s definitely people around him that love him, and he’s going to be all right. We are praying; we are working. People think like we are in an insane asylum [but] we got an album coming out.”

After a Sunday rally for Kanye’s presidential bid in South Carolina, there were many speculations regarding his mental health after he appeared onstage wearing a bulletproof vest, attacked the legacy of Harriet Tubman, and then wept as he claimed that he and Kim nearly aborted their daughter North.

A series of Kanye tweets also made rounds on social media, including one that claimed Kim and her mother, Kris Jenner, tried to get him “locked up.”

On Wednesday, Kim addressed Kanye’s recent behavior and asked for “compassion” as he battles his “painful” bipolar disorder.

However, when asked by Page 6 about the Kardashian family’s concerns, Dash said, “I don’t give a f–k about none of that. I see him — he’s cool. I don’t give a f–k what they say. He’s a little tired, but he’s happy.” He also claimed West is being “productive” and having fun.

“Why are you talking about [his mental health]? He’s in a big room with 40 different companies. Ideas development. It’s a laboratory going on over here. Just think of Willy Wonka,” he said.

“People watched the rally and think he’s crazy, but that’s how the average person thinks. Everyone that listens to him [who thinks] he’s crazy is not a billionaire. But some reason Elon Musk doesn’t think he’s crazy. I don’t think he’s crazy. Billionaires don’t think it’s crazy because he talks that billi talk. And most people don’t talk that talk. He speaks like the general to people that are generally soldiers,” Dash added.

Back in 2008, when the couple was married, Roy created Rachel Roy Brands clothing company. Dash was reportedly one of the company’s original investors and board members that helped build the foundation that enabled a number of fashion lines to be sold in department stores, including Macy’s, Bloomingdales, and others. Dash’s issue is the money he is supposed to be getting from his shared portion of the company, which he says is being hidden by Roy and her co-conspirators. HotNewHipHop.com reports that Roy allegedly submitted fake accounting documents withheld payments and undervalued Dash’s portion of Rachel Roy Brands.

Rachel Roy Brands makes millions annually, and that’s what tipped Dash off when he learned about a royalty payment of $175,000 being withheld in 2014. Another royalty check, this time worth $200,000, was withheld from him the following year. Dash and his legal team believe Roy “manipulated, diverted, misappropriated, transferred, concealed and embezzled funds” just so she wouldn’t have to pay Dash.

Dash claims that he and Roy came to a verbal agreement that she would buy his share of the company for $1 million. In addition to Roy, Roy’s brand accountants, legal team, and others are also included in his lawsuit.

According to TMZ, in the clip of Dash’s interview, the former music mogul reveals that Aaliyah wanted nothing to do with Kelly after the marriage was annulled, claiming she wanted to keep Kelly “the f*** away” from her.

“Aaliyah was like the sacrificial lamb for all of that, bro. She was a good, good soul, a good girl, wasn’t even really resentful; like let that man live, but keep him the f**k away from me…that’s all she wanted,” Dash told the interviewer.

Kelly’s former manager Demetrius Smith admitted to unwittingly helping Kelly obtain a fake ID for the then 15-year-old Aaliyah a day before the wedding took place, a claim that R. Kelly and his legal team continue to deny.

Dash also called Kelly “disgusting” for marrying a child.

The sequel to last year’s explosive documentary premieres Thursday night on Lifetime.

Last week, Dame Dash was arrested in New York City over unpaid child support to two of the mothers of his children, Rachel Roy, and Cindy Morales. The news came in the wake of an earlier report that the mogul owed more than $400,000 in child support to the two women.

After his arrest, the mogul said he was escorted to a Bronx courthouse to cover the rest of his debt, paying $1 million to clear his name and be released. Days later, the mogul sat for a deposition in another case, in which he was sued for a movie deal gone bad.

But now, Dame Dash is opening up about all the controversy that has been attached to his name over the last few weeks, as well as over the years. In an exclusive interview with Baller Alert, the businessman also revealed how he’s been able to handle the negative press.

“I came out here to deal with shit, and I dealt with shit,” Dame Dash said. “Only way to be great is to deal with your problems. You line them shits up so you can shut ‘em down, and that’s what I do. I’m not scared of people, I have fun regulating people that try to bully. I like to bully the bully and impress the impresser, but you not taking nothing from me.”

“Fuck you pay me,” he said, adding that everyone is working to take him down. “It’s all about the lawyers. It’s about Chris Brown trying to leverage or make it where I couldn’t come into the city so they could steal my movie, “The List,” that I directed.”

“It’s about Darnell Suarez, representing Cindy and Rachel, not letting me pay for the child support so they could leverage my interest in Rachel Roy,” he continued, as he listed a slew of other attorneys. “All of those guys, it’s about Barry Kleinberg that didn’t pay my taxes on purpose or tells me he paid my taxes, and then I find out he didn’t, and then I got to deal with it and he’s not accountable.”

As Dash continued, he offered suggestions to hold these attorneys and accountants accountable for their wrong moves and bad decisions. “The accountability should be with these lawyers and these accountants. There should be laws that make them accountable because they fuck your shit up, you pay them, and then you don’t know… you’ll be a young person in the music or any kind of industry, you have no idea. They take everything you got, they don’t pay the taxes, you pay em to do the right thing and then take advantage of that and then when you have no more left, they break out.”

“There’s no accountability for the advice they give you or the misrepresentations,” Dash said. “Like Darnell Suarez did not care that I didn’t see my son in six years cause they want to get my interest in Rachel Roy, and that’s crazy.”

“It’s culture over money,” he added, saying it’s all documented in the court of law. “I walked in the courtroom it was already paid,” Dash said, in reference to his child support debt. “I been trying to pay it for four years, but they were trying to raise the money to buy my interest at auction.”

But when asked if he was optimistic about this situation being settled, Dash said, “It’s petty shit, I got a television network,” he said. “I don’t fight for me, I fight for we.”

Before he ended his rant, Dash showed love to Kanye West, claiming the Chicago rapper is the only one that has reached out to him.  “Kanye,” he said. “He always reaches out, he’s the only one.  Everybody else…Kanye’s the only person I’ve invested in that invested back, and people should see that as the bigger picture when it comes to Kanye. He comes back around. You might not like him in between, but when he sees you, he does the right thing.”

Media mogul Dame Dash has filed legal documents in an ongoing business lawsuit claiming that he does not have the money to pay back the $2,400 bill that he owes in the lawsuit.

“My income streams have all been garnished,” Dash wrote in the court docs, adding that he can’t afford to pay it back. “It is very difficult to address the mounting bills until I receive some relief from the courts.”

Earlier this year, Dash argued over the amount of child support money he should have to pay to his ex-wife Rachel Roy. Dash said that paying $6,000 wouldn’t be fair as he only pulled in $56,000 during 2018, while Roy was making approximately $500,000. Now, in the newly filed legal documents, Dash said his fiancée is pregnant, and that will be another financial burden, according to Complex.

In addition, filmmaker Josh Webber sued Dash for $7 million in defamation damages. He also surrendered himself to the New York City Police Department after an arrest warrant was issued for failure to pay child support.

In the legal document filed on November 12th, Dash said he has no salary and depends solely on his business to make money. However, he allegedly hasn’t been making anything from it. He also said the only income he is receiving is the $2 million from Lee Daniels, who owed him from a movie deal the two previously made. ”My income streams have all been garnished … and it is very difficult to address the mounting bills until I receive some relief from the courts,” he wrote.

But now, Dash is coming forward to shut down TMZ’s claims that he is broke. The mogul took to Instagram and slammed the news outlet for its recent headline, saying, ”Perfect example of how they always trying to make a strong independent black man look broke…this is the narrative they push no mention of my 24 network or my streaming service…or my galleries just bubblegum shit… #tmz_tv y’all corny for that but the agenda is clear…Keep it up …I’m gonna keep making examples of y’all by winning…y’all been saying the same shit for 12 years ….soldiers will never understand generals…. 2 different languages.” The story is ongoing.

Dame Dash, the former business partner of Jay-Z, recently opened up about the Hov’s recent deal with the NFL on Adam 22’s ‘No Jumper’ podcast.

Dame didn’t seem too surprised with Jay’s decision, claiming many in the industry know how the Billionaire rap mogul truly is. “I mean, everybody knows Jay ain’t sh*t,” Dame said. “Everyone knows that…Listen, if you ask anyone in the industry, it’s a common knowledge that Jay ain’t sh*t.

When Adam asked Dame to clarify “ain’t sh*t,” he replied, “He’s about the bag. We all know that. He’s self-preserving. Period. It’s just that the people he does it to don’t have Beyoncé next to ’em. They don’t have that kind of power, but this dude here, everyone’s looking.”

Dame continued, “So I just think he kinda like—he used to do that sh*t…it’s not even like a secret. He’d do that sh*t to me with girls. I’ll be talking to a chick, and I’ll be like, ‘Yo, she asked me to do this, that and the third.’ And he’d be like, ‘I wouldn’t do it.’ And then the next day he’s done wifed her. And I’d be like, ‘Oh, that some funny sh*t.’ You know what you dealing with when you’re dealing with Jay.”

In regards to Jermaine Dupri denouncing claims that Jay advised him to turn down a similar NFL deal, Dame said, “Jermaine Dupri, I feel like…again, for me to talk, it’s hard because I can’t completely be objective, but it’s the news of today. But, I just think if you look under the hood, all the answers will reveal themselves.”

Throughout the conversation, Dame also discussed his fall out with another former business partner, Kareem “Biggs” Burke, and his new business ventures.

Roy responded to Dash’s recent court filing seeking to change the current custody deal. Dash wants joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, Tallulah.

According to the Blast, court documents detailed that Roy and the former couple’s older, Ava, both filed docs asking the judge to deny Dash’s request for a change to their current custody order.

Roy also pointed to Dash’s history of domestic violence and claims their children have anxiety around him.

She claims the girls have witnessed their father smoking marijuana in front of them on many occasions.

Ava even filed a declaration saying she is scared of her father’s temper and mood swings and shared that she too is also concerned with his marijuana intake and the alcohol and other drugs he consumes as they affect his moods and makes him “more excitable, hard to please and upset.”

There are also accusations that Dash talks badly to Tallulah about her mother and sister and has cut Ava off because she refused to get involved in the business dispute between the former couple.

In his court docs, Dash claimed he had a close relationship with Tallulah and that she wants to spend more time with him.

Roy says any claims by Dash that Tallulah wants to spend more time with her father are an “outright lie.” 

It seems the longstanding legal battle over $1 million is not over. Dash’s exes have now revived a settlement that ended last year between Dame and Daniels. Back in 2018, Daniels and Dash settled their dispute on $5 million. 

According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Rachel Roy and Cindy Morales have filed a lawsuit against Daniels, claiming they are the rightful owners of the settlement money.

The two women say the money should go to them as they claim the Roc-A-Fella co-founder has failed to pay them hundreds of thousands in child support. 

Roy, who shares two daughters with Dash, says Dash owes her $826,166.88 in back child support and other expenses, and Morales wants her $244,721.43 for the care of their son. According to The Blast, both of the women say Dash hasn’t paid them more than $5 in child support for 2019.

Dash has denied the women’s accusations, but now they are going after Daniels for the money. There are currently warrants out for Dash’s arrest for the unpaid child support money; Dash plans to settle that legal battle with the two women directly.
