Dame Dash believes that his former friend Jay-Z needs to reach out to white media amid his sexual assault lawsuit.

In a recent chat with “The Art of Dialogue,” Dash compared Jay’s situation to his own past allegations, pointing out that despite his controversies, he didn’t face the same level of backlash as the Roc Nation mogul, largely due to the differences in their fame. The 53-year-old hopes nothing truly inappropriate occurred, but emphasized that the industry’s response marks a departure from the usual treatment Jay-Z receives. Dash believes his ex-partner should speak directly to major media outlets, as they are now the ones scrutinizing him.
“But, like, you know, ‘Drink Champs’ can’t get him out of this one, and neither can Charlamagne. ‘Cause those are the guys that hold him down no matter what he does anyway. So he got to get to People magazine and Entertainment Tonight right now, ’cause they on his head. But the question is why. Like, why now?” Dash stated.
Dash thinks Jay should address the situation directly, rather than relying on his attorney Alex Spiro to manage the public narrative. The America Nu Network owner noted that Spiro’s comments on Jay’s relationship with Diddy triggered more backlash, further complicating the situation. Spiro denied that the rappers were actually friends, despite their past Roc Nation Brunch appearances together.
As legal battles continue, Jay-Z and his accuser’s lawyer, Tony Buzbee, are locked in a tense back-and-forth.
