If you tend to follow 50 Cent’s beefs and rivalries, you probably remember when he faced off against Rick Ross in 2009. During the (mostly one-sided) internet beef 50 Cent involved Ross’ baby mamas. He took on of them shopping, bought her fur coats, and during it all a sex tape with another baby mama, Lastonia Leviston, found it’s way on 50’s website. Was 50 Cent involved in that? He denies it.
A year after 50 dropped the tape on his site, Boo Boo TV, Leviston filed a lawsuit claiming emotional distress over the unauthorized use of her name and image. According to the complaint, she made the tape with a guy she was involved with and he promised to destroy the tape. Instead, he sold it to 50. The video received over 4 million views, despite Leviston saying it nearly drove her to suicide.  Though she filed her suit in 2010, her trial date was just recently finalized this past March. Oh, but there’s more…
50 Cent is passing the buck to Rick Ross, claiming it was The Biggest Bawse that was behind the leak. 50 claims Rick Ross was the first to leak the tape and that he merely just posted a link to it. He uses a radio interview that Rick Ross did the day before the leak, to further back his story. In the interview Rick Ross allegedly says something about leaking the tape. 50 wants Ross to pay up if he loses the lawsuit against Leviston.Â
Here’s where it gets sketchy, if Rick Ross leaked the tape, why would he blur the other guy out? Also, if the tape was already online, why would 50 be crazy enough to edit himself into the footage as “Pimpin Curly”? Bad idea!Â
Does 50 Cent have a case?
