Aaron Carter wants the world to know about the mental health struggles that he’s been battling, as he says he has nothing to hide.
On a recent preview of an upcoming two-part interview on ‘The Doctors’, the singer-songwriter shared that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, and manic depression. The sneak-peak clip released by TMZ, showed Carter telling the crowd, “This is my reality. Hi, I have nothing to hide.” He was referring to a clear plastic bag of prescription pills that he pulled out to show everyone the medication he has to take. The pills included Xanax, Seroquel, Hydroxyzine, Trazodone, and Gabapentin.
The two-part interview will reportedly focus on Carter’s health and sobriety. He even goes as far as doing a drug test on the show to prove he’s not taking any other substances, although he admits to previously taking opioids following a dental procedure.
In addition to the discussion surrounding his health, the interview will also reportedly touch on his alleged violent breakup with his girlfriend, which ended with a restraining order, and his mom’s battle with alcohol abuse.
The latest two-part interview, set to air Thursday and Friday, comes two years after Carter’s last appearance on the show, where he revealed his dependency on prescription drugs.
