Amar’e Stoudemire Doesn’t Want Gays In The Locker Room

Amar’e Stoudemire is the latest professional basketball player to be asked about his thoughts on gay players in the league. While most Ballers said that they don’t have any problems with gay players in the locker room, Stoudemire has offered alternative views.

When asked if Stoudemire, who currently plays for Hapoel Jerusalem of the Israeli Basketball Premier League,  would take issue with a gay player in the locker room, the Baller tells reporters, “I will shower across the street, I’m going to make sure my change of clothes are around the corner, and I’m going to drive and take a different route to the gym. ”

When asked if he was joking, Stoudemire replies, “I mean, there’s always a truth within a joke.”

Needless to say, he’s already started catching flack for his views. TMZ has labeled his comments as “downright homophobic.” What are your thoughts?

  1. I’m sick of the gay hate. If they aren’t f*cking you or whomever you’re f*cking why do you care? Why are we even talking to Amar’e Stoudemire? He’s a washed up bum

  2. He’s right for the same reason women would not be comfy with men in their locker room and vice versa. Think about it; why do different sexes have different locker rooms? The answer will put things in perspective and set a sensible tone for the conversation.

I wonder why it has become compulsory to be gay friendly and forcibly comfortable with it. Tolerance is fine but embracing it should be our gaddamn choice.
