The Baller Alert Show, featuring your lifestyle specialist Kenny Burns, with Ferrari Simmons and Su Solo, kicked off its 71st episode with a recap of the hottest topics and current events from the previous week.
However, before the hosts jumped into the first segment, Burns congratulated Rari on his engagement. Ballerific Wedding, coming soon! From there, the hosts, welcomed Octavia, who works the sound for the show, to the table to fill in for Su and congratulated Burns’ son on his high school graduation.
As the episode continued, the hosts opened up about Will Smith’s big box office weekend, highlighting “Aladdin’s” $113 million opening weekend. “I think he’s the goat,” Burns said,” as he touched on his anticipation for the third installment of “Bad Boys.”
Next, the hosts discussed the video that went viral of a controversial confrontation with law enforcement. Not only did the officer claim the man had a gun, which turned out to be the man’s cell phone, he also insisted the man had failed to comply by showing his hands. The video sparked widespread backlash and shined a light on the relationship between police officers and black and brown men and women in America.
In fact, it also encouraged Rari to share his own experience with an officer over the weekend. In speaking of racial tensions, the hosts then opened up about Meek Mill’s issues with The Cosmopolitan, in which he claimed to be racially profiled.
The rapper is seeking legal action.
In the next segment, Rari shared this week’s Baller Mail, which focused on living with an ex or breaking a lease upon breakup. From there, Octavia shared her first comment creeping of the week, which featured Chrissy Teigen underneath a rather revealing photo of Dwyane Wade. In the second comment creepin, Octavia shared Peter Thomas’ shade to his ex-wife, Cynthia Bailey.
