Barack Obama Shades Donald Trump During Campaign Rallies In Milwaukee And Detroit, “Nobody In My Administration Got Indicted”

Obama ain’t having it anymore. Earlier this week, he broke his silence about Trump and the Republican Party during campaign rallies in Milwaukee and Detroit ahead of the November 6th elections. He encouraged Democrats to get out and vote in the midterms because the “character of our country is on the ballot”.

Of course, he didn’t mention Trump by name but it was very evident who he was referring to when he discussed the current state of affairs in politics. One of the most important factors being that there is a blatantly dishonest person “leading” this country. Obama said, “Throughout human history, certainly throughout American history, politicians have exaggerated. But what we have not seen before in our public life is politicians just blatantly, repeatedly, baldly, shamelessly lying. Just making stuff up.”

Obama continued by mentioning the supposed tax cut Trump promised would happen before the election, even though Congress won’t even be in session again until after the midterms. He also mentioned how the Republican party likes to create crises before elections, like the #HilaryClinton email scandal. Citing a report from the New York Times, he spoke about how Trump uses an unsecured iPhone, despite the Secret Service requesting that he switch to a more secure device. Trump even left the phone in a golf cart once but of course, Trump denied the claim in a tweet sent from an iPhone.

Obama’s response for that was, “In the last election, it was Hillary’s emails. ‘This is terrible’ … ‘This is a national security crisis,’” he said. “They didn’t care about emails and you know how you know? Because if they did, they’d be up in arms right now that the Chinese are listening to the president’s iPhone that he leaves in his golf cart. Turns out, I guess it wasn’t that important.”

The former (but our forever) president also mocked Trump’s promise to “drain the swamp” of corruption in Washington. Obama said that Trump has “gone to Washington and just plundered away,” adding that, “In Washington, they have racked up enough indictments to field a football team. Nobody in my administration got indicted. So, how is it that they cleaned things up?”

During his stop in Detroit, Obama ended his speech on an optimistic note. “I’m hopeful, Michigan. I’m hopeful that despite all the noise, despite all the lies, we’re going to come through all that. We’re going to remember who we are, who we’re called to be. I’m hopeful because out of this political darkness, I’m seeing a great awakening.”

We’re right there with you Obama! Let’s all be hopeful but also get to those polls November 6th! #VOTE
