Beyoncé Reportedly Signed $60 Million Netflix Deal For Three Specials

It’s being reported that the superstar has inked a huge deal with Netflix, giving the streaming service three specials for $60 Million.

According to Variety, the deal includes the “Homecoming” documentary released this past Wednesday that centered around Beyoncé’s amazing Coachella performance as well as two more projects to be delivered from Queen.

Variety claims that HBO, who previously released Beyoncé’s visual album “Lemonade” and her first documentary “Life is but a dream,” had been in negotiations with Bey for the rights to the “Homecoming” documentary but they weren’t able to secure the project because Netflix made her an offer she just couldn’t refuse.

While it’s not clear just how much Netflix paid for the documentary, Hollywood insiders believe Netflix paid $20 million for that one special alone. However, reps for Netflix and Beyoncé have refused to comment.

If that’s not enough coin for you, consider the fact that Mrs. Carter also released a surprise live album to coincide with the release of the “Homecoming” doc as well as a bevy of new Homecoming related merchandise for fans to wear.

Beyoncé has easily turned the remarkable festival performance into a $100 million payday.
