Doing It For The Culture: Celebrities Who Are Making A Change Within The Black Community

The history and current reality of Black people across the globe paints a picture of adversary, incredible challenges, opposition and what is arguably a systematic approach to eradicate any evidence of our very existence. However, in spite of all the odds against us, we still rise. Collectively, there’s a lot of work needed to organize and position ourselves to obtain the kind of power that comes from economic, financial and mental freedom from all adversaries, including ourselves.

The biblical scripture, “many are called, but few are chosen” rings true for the current state of our society. Each of us have a unique gift, talent, and a purpose to share with others, yet, few have accepted the responsibility of becoming a leader. Familiarize yourself with the work of these incredible people and partner with some local organizations to be the change you wish to see. Let’s stop asking what needs to be done and start rolling up our sleeves and get to work.
