Coachella Is Still Saying ‘No Weed Allowed,’ Despite It Being Legalized In California

 – blogged by: @ashleytearra

If you thought that the legalization of marijuana in the state of California meant that you would now be able to smoke weed at this year’s Coachella, well, you thought wrong.

The California-based music and arts festival made that perfectly clear in a recent Q&A portion on their website.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
“Marijuana and marijuana products aren’t allowed inside of [the festival]. Even in 2018 and beyond. If that changes, we’ll update our answer.”
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As we’ve recently learned, recreational use of marijuana was permitted as of January 1st.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
This year’s Coachella Festival is set to kick off during the weekend of April 13th – April 15th and will conclude that following weekend, April 20th – April 22nd.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Beyoncé, The Weeknd, and Eminem are said to be headlining.
