Cosmopolitan Hotel Allegedly Denied Meek Mill Entry Because of Prior Fight With Security

A source close to the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas claims Meek Mill wasn’t racially profiled when he was denied entry but was ordered to leave because of a past incident with security.

On Saturday, the Philly rapper was told he would be arrested if he didn’t follow orders to stay in his car and drive away from the hotel premises. Meek then took to social media to blast the Cosmopolitan staff.

According to TMZ, The Cosmopolitan Hotel hasn’t officially commented on the situation or offered Meek an apology, but the source claims the rapper “fought with security guards,” and for that reason alone he isn’t allowed back.

Meek’s lawyer, Joe Tacopina, believes that his client along with several other African American rappers have been blacklisted from a number of Vegas hotels for racially motivated reasons and he’s threatening to sue. Tacopina is adamant that fight story is fabricated and that the chief security officer failed to communicate why Meek was denied entry in the first place.

“Meek Mill was never involved in a fight on their property, ever and I challenge the Cosmopolitan to produce a video of such altercation or a contemporaneous incident report. The legal case against the Cosmopolitan just got stronger,” the lawyer told TMZ.
