Earlier this week, the NBA announced the order of the 2019 NBA draft, which left the forever-struggling New York Knicks with the third pick, ultimately ruining their chances of landing the potential No.1 pick, Zion Williamson. In a recent interview with Baller Alert, the Bronx’s own Fat Joe opened up about the travesty, saying, “That was devastating.”
Despite the bad news, Joe shared positive thoughts about the future of the franchise.
“I think we gon’ do big things, the kid RJ Barrett is incredible,” Fat Joe said. “I think they might trade him for Anthony Davis, I really believe that.”
As he continued, Joe opened up about Remy Ma’s assault case and explained how the scripted drama of “Love and Hip Hop” can affect someone’s real life, in a major way.
“It’s been great for Remy because Remy been so positive, she ain’t been getting in no fights. Nothing like that. She’s a model citizen,” Joe said, as he addressed Remy’s allegations. “I don’t believe the allegations for one second. Actually, I was there.”
“It never happened, I was actually there,” Joe said. “But when you have a reputation and a past, it follows you and America always seems to never be able to forgive and forget and give second chances. Remy, she’s totally innocent.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Joe shared his thoughts on Bill de Blasio running for president, and even suggested his own campaign.
