Good News, Taco Bell Has Launched A New Vegetarian Menu

Taco Bell is debuting a vegetarian section on its newly redesigned menu, which will also include two new items.

Now, the fast-food chain will offer two new vegetarian items, the Black Bean Crunchwrap Supreme and a Black Bean Quesarito. The items will join the other two existing vegetarian options that will be displayed prominently in a new ”Vegetarian Favorites” menu, according to CNN.

As many customers are now becoming more health-conscious, the changes made by the famous food chain will make it easier for vegetarians to see their options as explained by the food chain.

The nationwide expansion of the new menu to 7,000 U.S. restaurants comes after a test earlier this year. The YUM Brand-owned restaurant is also planning a new advertisement campaign to promote the new menu.

As a whole, there are more than 12 vegetarian items on Taco Bell’s menu, according to the reports. The items will feature a new green emblem that shows off Taco Bell’s American Vegetarian Association certificate.  The chain became the first and only quick-service chain to receive the notification in 2015.

Taco Bell emphasized that the non-vegetarian items can be made meatless by substituting beans for meat. The also said it’s menu items “can be customized more than 8 million ways” to fit a vegetarian diet.

Taco Bell said in a release it plans to “further innovate in this growing space.”
