Kurupt’s Wife Says He Abandoned Her After She Was Diagnosed With Terminal Cancer; Demands $14,000 a Month In Spousal Support

Back in October 2017, Kurupt’s wife filed for divorce after 10 years of marriage. At the time, details of divorce were limited to details about their assets, but now in new documents obtained by The Blast, Jovan Brown is calling the rapper out for abandonment.

According to the publication, Brown said her estranged husband left her high and dry after she was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She said he refused to cover her medical bills and living expenses since her diagnosis, and now she needs him to pay up.

“Our separation definitely hurt, as I could not understand how after 17 years” he “left me in my time of need when I needed his support and love the most,” she wrote in the new court docs. “Before [Kurupt] left our relationship, I was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Although I earned a salary prior to separation and [he] knew I needed the money, when I asked [Kurupt] to assist me with my treatment, he responded ‘go get a regular job’ and I should ‘get a boyfriend to help me pay for my treatments.’”

As she continued, Brown said she met Kurupt when he had nothing. She said the two struggled together for years before they got on their feet. In addition to that, she said she handled all the behind the scenes matters involved in their business, including bringing in lucrative opportunities.

To make matters worse, Brown claimed that Kurupt told her that he has a new woman, a new life, and a new family to support over her. She also said he suffers from addiction, which has caused him to be verbally and mentally abusive. As a result, she is looking to receive $14,000 in spousal support, $40,000 in lawyer fees and a 50% stake ownership of all the companies she said she managed for her husband.
