That’s Baller: Magic Johnson’s Italian Summer Vacation On A Yacht Costs $1 Million Per Week

The name Magic Johnson is legendary in the NBA and world of sports. His long-standing career and recent departure from his role as President of Basketball Operations with the LA Lakers, has afforded him many luxuries that one can only dream of. For his annual summer vacations, Magic has been known to rent expensive yachts and invite his A-list celebrity friends to join him while traveling around Italy.  This time, he’s seemed to outdo even himself.

Magic, his wife Cookie along with LL Cool J, Rodney and Holly Robinson-Pete and others are sailing off the Italian Amalfi coast in a yacht that rents for $1 million per week. The 281 ft ship named, “Aquila,” features amenities that make the yacht feel more like a luxury hotel. It accommodates up to 12 guests and a 28 person crew. Complete with a gym, dining area, hot tub, massage rooms, movie theater, and a nightclub, this experience is like no other.

It remains unclear how to get on Magic’s guest list, but actress Brie Larson recently mentioned to late-night host, Jimmy Kimmel that she’s been requesting to tag along with Magic for the past five years.  Kimmel also admitted that he too had been denied an invite to the seemingly exclusive and highly coveted shortlist of invited guests.

Magic is rumored to enjoy up to six weeks on his yacht vacations around Italy, which means this summer vacation rental could cost him nearly 6 million dollars. That’s Baller.
