It’s been apparent that parenting is not for everyone, especially when a fatal shot to the head is the consequence of a child’s actions.
George Coty Wayman, 18, of Bellevue, Texas, was arrested Wednesday (May 17) night, according to The Dallas News, after shooting his three-year-old stepson in the back of the head on Tuesday night. Officials responded to a report that a child was shot in a travel trailer on the 4700 block of Buffalo Springs Road in unincorporated Clay County, 80 miles northwest of Fort Worth, Texas.
Initially, witnesses claimed the child, Dominic Tra’Juan Castro was jumping on the bed, when he accidently made the gun go off. However, when the evidence in the trailer didn’t match the statement, Wayman was charged of capital murder and criminal trespass.
It was later revealed that Wayman pointed the gun at the little boy and threated to shoot him if he didn’t stop jumping on the bed. Afterwards, he shot Dominic in the back of the head.
His bail is set at $505,000.
