Netflix Teams Up With Kevin Hart To Educate Children In Kid-Friendly Comedy ‘Kevin Hart’s Guide To Black History’

Kevin Hart is putting on the teacher hat in his latest project.

“Guide to Black History” is the show you’ll wish you had in school, rather than textbooks. Kevin hosts the series with Saniyya Sidney, who plays his daughter. The two will take you on a colorful and fun trip into black history, exploring African-American pioneers who don’t get enough credit. Though Martin Luther King and Rosa Parks deserve their acknowledgment, it’s an opportunity to recognize those who have made just as big of a difference.

Each story is reenacted with familiar celebrity faces like Tiffany Haddish and Al Shearer. Families will enjoy history lessons with a twist of clean humor. Some lessons include  “the original Beyonce” Josephine Baker and her work as a World War II spy, Bessie Coleman (Haddish) who was the first black woman with a pilot license, and Robert Smalls (Shearer), an escaped slave-turned-congressman.

Gather around and enjoy the show now on Netflix!
