Police Find 8 Women Held Against Their Will In Atlanta Mansion

It was a 911 call from a 20-year-old woman that led police to an Atlanta area mansion where they found eight human trafficking victims held against their will.

 

The frantic woman called 911 for help on Tuesday morning. She told the operator that a man she met on Seeking Arrangements, was holding her and several other women captive.

 

“It’s a house of full of girls and…if I try to leave, he’ll try to kill me,” she told the dispatcher.

 

She referred to 33-year-old Kenndric Roberts as her “boss.” Roberts held the women, ages 19-23, at a million dollar home in the upscale Sandy Springs, Ga., gated community. He forced them to get plastic surgery and made them work as dancers for money. Roberts allowed the women to come and go as they pleased, but if they tried to leave for good, he made threats of killing them and their families.

 

“Were they afraid? Yeah, he had guns and threatened their lives. [Roberts] said, ‘You are free to go, but if you do, I will find you and kill you. If you do something, I’ll go after your mother,” said the mother of one of the women held. “When they left the house, he had them so brainwashed, he said, ‘You can go and do this, but if you don’t come back,’ he said, ‘I know where your families are and I will kill them.’”

 

Roberts also had surveillance cameras throughout the house, where he watched the women’s every move.

 

“We believe that he’d been making promises to some of these ladies for modeling careers — financial assistance,” said Sandy Springs Police Sgt. Sam Worsham.

 

Roberts told the women he ran a modeling, music and entertainment business called Live Star Nation, and promised them an $80,000 salary promoting his business. He reportedly sweet talked the women, bought them gifts, and before they knew it, he had them working at the strip club, but all of the money went to him.

 

Roberts was arrested and charged with 5 counts of False Imprisonment, 5 counts of Trafficking Person for Labor and 2 counts of Possession of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony after an AK 47 pistol and a Glock .45 caliber handgun were recovered. Roberts is currently being held at Fulton County Jail.
