Snoop Dogg to Host the 2018 Global Spin Awards

The Global Spin Awards is taking place Feb. 22 and this year’s show is bound to be one for the books because Snoop Dogg is the host.

The award show that honors and recognizes some of the world’s hottest DJs, announced Wednesday (January 31) that the 6th annual ceremony will be taking place in L.A., airing exclusively on Revolt, and be hosted by ‪Snoop‬.

⠀⠀⠀⠀
Snoop, who DJs under the name DJ Snoopadelic, is also up for a nomination for Celebrity DJ Of The Year, alongside other big names like Questlove‬, Swizz Beatz‬, Lil Jon‬, Brody Jenner and Jermaine Dupri‬.

Other nominees at this year’s ceremony include ‪DJ Khaled‬, DJ Envy, Metro Boomin, DJ Esco, DJ Suss One, and many more.

The nominees for Hip Hop DJ of the Year are DJ Self, Funk Flex, ‪DJ Drama‬, ‪DJ Khaled‬, DJ Envy and ‪Metro Boomin‬.

Legendary producer ‪Timbaland‬ is also set to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, while ‪Jermaine Dupri‬ will receive the Breaking Barriers Award.

“Through the Awards, it is our mission to recognize the diverse, bold and remarkable DJs that have helped shaped the music industry into what it is today,” said awards founder Shawn Prez in a press release.

The 2018 Global Spin Awards will air on REVOLT on February 22.
