BET Hip-Hop Awards Releases This Year’s List Of Nominees, Drake and Cardi B Lead With Most Nominations

The BET Hip Hop Awards has officially released this year’s nominees and Drake and Cardi B are leading the pack.

On Wednesday, the network announced its nominees for the BET Hip Hop Awards show which is set to air in Miami Beach on October 16. In front of the line with the most nominations is Drake with 11 noms. Cardi comes in second with 10, while other nominees include Kendrick Lamar, Childish Gambino, and Travis Scott.

Both Drake and Cardi will face off in several categories this year, including Single of the Year, MVP of the Year and Album of the Year. While Cardi took home Best New Hip Hop Artist last year, this year the category is up for grabs with BlocBoyJB, JuiceWRLD, Lil Baby, RichtheKid and late rapper XXXTentacion fighting for the award. For Album of the Year, the category includes Cardi B (Invasion of Privacy), Drake (Scorpion), J.Cole (KOD), Migos (Culture II) and The Carters (Everything Is Love).

According to Billboard, Jesse Collins Entertainment CEO Jesse Collins will executive produce the BET Hip Hop Awards along with BET head of programming Connie Orlando and Jessie Collins Entertainment VP of specials Jeannae Rouzan-Clay.
