As if Meek Mill’s recent conviction wasn’t strange enough, now the lawyer for the infamous judge, Genece Brinkley, is suing Roc Nation and Amazon. ⠀⠀
Charles Peruto has filed legal documents against both media giants after leaked audio proved Peruto may have believed the rapper was more innocent than Brinkley let on.
During his conviction, Brinkley refused to release Meek Mill from prison despite proof that the cop involved in his conviction was dirty.
Her lawyer, Peruto, did an interview for a documentary about the case produced by Roc Nation (practically family to Meek) and Amazon. During the taping, Peruto asked to go off the record. The interviewer agreed, and while he faced the camera to a wall, the camera was still rolling, capturing audio.
According to TMZ, Peruto was recording saying Judge Brinkley looked “f***ing awful” and she should have freed Meek and granted him a new trial. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Peruto believes the tape is misleading and makes him look bad. He also claims he added that the judge followed the law, but this was not in the leaked audio.

The cameraman was an employee of Roc Nation and Amazon, so Peruto finds them both liable. The person responsible for the leak is not known at this time.
