Tropical Storm Florence is slowly traveling across #SouthCarolina and causing “catastrophic flooding,” according to the National Hurricane Center, with some areas receiving 30 inches of rain. 12 people have been confirmed dead from storm-related incidents. Two were from a house fire in Fayetteville, NC and one was an 81-year-old man who struck his head trying to evacuate. Electricity is out in nearly 1 million homes and businesses and 904 flights were canceled on Friday; 818 flights were canceled Saturday and 450 on Sunday, according to #CNN.

More than 400 people have been rescued since Florence made landfall and dumped several inches of unrelenting rain. Military officials report that the slow movement of Tropical Storm Florence is making it difficult to get helicopters out for rescues in hard-hit areas.

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Virginia Governor Ralph Northam is warning residents in the southwest part of the state to prepare for flooding and possible landslides early next week from the remaining bands of Florence. He said in a news release, “Now is not the time to let our guard down.”

Prayers are with all that have been affected by #HurricaneFlorence ??
