Just days after Cardi B and Nicki Minaj made headlines for their scuffle at New York Fashion Week, a physical altercation went down at, yet, another “upper echelon” event. But this time, between two men.
According to “Soul Plane” actor, Tom Arnold, the incident occurred at Sunday’s Evening Before Emmy Party, around 9:30 p.m., shortly after he arrived.
“Mark Burnett just went apeshit & choked me at this huge Emmy party,” Arnold said on social media of the “The Apprentice” producer. “Then he ran away with his torn Pink shirt & missing gold chain. I’m waiting for LAPD.”
Though further details remain unclear, sources say the incident erupted over Arnold’s attempt to film Burnett for his Viceland reality series, “The Hunt for the Trump Tapes,” which premieres Tuesday.
According to Variety, the two have been at odds over Arnold’s public criticisms of Burnett and his refusal to release outtakes from “The Apprentice,” which is said to include clips of Trump using racial slurs and making disturbing comments.
Meanwhile, despite Arnold’s claim, Burnett’s wife said Arnold was the aggressor, and she has the battle wounds to prove it.
“Got this bruise tonight when Tom Arnold tried to ambush my husband Mark and me at a charity event,” Roma Downey said. “Is your TV show worth it Tom? Please stop.”
