Welp, Roseanne Barr just spoiled a huge storyline on ABC’s upcoming spinoff, “The Conners,” in the wake of being booted from her own “Roseanne” remake.

Barr sat down with Brandon Straka for his Youtube show “Walk Away,” and revealed how her character, Roseanne Conner, is killed off in the new show.

“Oh yeah, they killed her,” Barr said. “They have her die of an opioid overdose.” ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

She then shared her opinion about her character’s demise, condemning the writers for using her own storyline idea against her.

“I wanted to show [opioid struggle] in the show,” Barr said, as she explained her show highlighted her character’s opioid abuse last season. She even admitted to having her own problem three years ago, after a knee surgery. But, to have her character killed off in that way, “It’s so cynical and horrible,” she said.

“I wanted to show [opioid struggle] in the show, but I was never going to have Roseanne die of an opioid overdose,” Barr said. “She should have died as a hero or not at all … It wasn’t enough to [fire me], they had to so cruelly insult the people who loved that family and that show.”

While it remains unclear if Barr’s storyline is true, a rep for ABC declined to comment on her statement. In the meantime, the show airs on Oct. 16, will you be tuned in?
