Earlier this month, Tammy Brawner, wife of “Family Matters” star, Daris McCrary, filed new docs in her legal battle against the actor over custody and child support for their daughter, Zoey.
In the docs, Brawner said McCrary violated the terms of their restraining order and custody agreement when he went on the radio and “stated that I have been telling and coaching our 2-year-old daughter to lie and say that ‘dada hurt her.’”
She also provided evidence to prove McCrary had been violent with their daughter. In medical records from a March 2018 incident, the estranged couple’s two-year-old daughter was diagnosed with a partially dislocated elbow, commonly known as Nursemaid’s Elbow.
According to Brawner, the diagnosis came after McCrary “grabbed her arm” while trying to take her to the bathroom. But now, in the wake of the messy legal battle, McCrary is firing back at the allegations.
In an interview with TMZ, McCrary denied all the allegations and explained his side of the story.
“The way that it happened basically is when we were done visiting with my family, she asked me to take the baby to the bathroom. And when I took the baby to the bathroom, the baby just said ‘Ow,’” he said.
“It’s more frustrating than anything is having to explain that you’re not this monster. The baby was never put over a boiling pot of water, in fact, if anything, I may have been showing the baby what ‘hot’ and what ‘cold’ is, and pointing to a pot.”
“I would never do anything to harm my child,” he said. “This alleged injury, it never happened. In fact, it was really disturbing in the hospital that night, she reached into the baby bag and pulled out this huge bag of sour patch kids and gave our daughter a sour patch kid and the baby magically started moving her arm.”
As McCrary continued, he alleged that his estranged wife coached his daughter to claim she’d been injured, but at the end of the day, he’s just gonna give it to God.
