Gregg Leakes Pens Open Letter To Nene Leaks Before Undergoing Surgery For Cancer

“Housewives of Atlanta” star Nene Leakes will have an open discussion with her husband about his fight will cancer in the premiere of season 11.

Nene has shared with Bossip that her husband Gregg Leakes is currently on a strict vegan diet following surgery to remove his cancer. The type of cancer has yet to be released. The need for an operation was so crucial that Gregg had to immediately undergo surgery the same day of his diagnosis. In a clip from the upcoming episode, Gregg opens up about the experience.

“I guess the scariest part about all of this is when we got to the hospital and the doctor saying that we need to do surgery on you tonight or you ain’t going to make it,” Gregg says. “And so I went over and prayed to God and I told Him, ‘If it’s time, let’s go. I don’t fear death, I don’t want to go. If my work here is finished here, take care of them, let’s go.’” In the event, that his life would be lost during surgery, he made sure to leave a note for Nene.

“I wrote a note to my doctor and I told him to give it to you if I didn’t come out…Writing that note was the hardest thing I ever did in my life.” You never know what’s in you until you at that door,” Gregg says in the episode. “I never thought I had it in me to fight cancer. Now, I want to beat cancer’s a**.”

Gregg says he wouldn’t have wanted anyone else by his side other than Nene. “You have been my light. I couldn’t do this without you. I couldn’t. I wouldn’t even try. So I want to thank you, baby.”
