Well, you did it again Azealia, you’ve somehow figured out a way to put your name in headlines for something negative once again. This time Banks was caught on video spewing a homophobic slur, which is bad for business considering a majority of her fanbase is gay.
The incident took place on a Delta flight from New York to LAX early Tuesday morning around 1am. When the plane landed, Banks headed for the exit but was blocked by a French couple who were removing their bags from the overhead bin. An eye witness said that Banks tried to go around the couple but the man put his arm out, apparently blocking her from passing. The eye witness said that at this point Banks went ballistic. She allegedly spit in the man’s face, punched him and clawed at his shirt. When the flight attendant attempted to intervene by grabbing Azealia’s bag and asking her to calm down, Azealia lost her balance and fell to her seat. At this point, things went further downhill.
Video footage captures Azealia continuing to cause a ruckus, demanding her bag and referring to the flight attendant as a “F***ing F***ot”. The co-pilot informs her that the police have been called and at that point Banks takes off, dropping her cell phone. Police eventually caught up with her at baggage claim but thankfully for Banks, the French couple decided not to press charges since they were in town on holiday and didn’t want to deal with the hassle.
Azealia claims that when the man put his hands up, he hit her, though footage does not capture that and according to the eye witness, that didn’t happen. Azealia has since locked her Twitter account, a first for the rapper who’s tweets tend to get her in a lot of trouble online.
