Shamari DeVoe Talks About Her Brief “Open Marriage” To Ronnie Devoe On The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, “I Slept With Two Women, He Slept With About 10”

The newest peach on ”The Real Housewives Of Atlanta, ” Shamari DeVoe, came into the circle spilling tea as she confided in the ladies (and her mother in law!) about the year and a half-open relationship she shared with her husband, New Edition member, Ronnie DeVoe. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

During a shopping trip, Shamari asked her husband’s mother, Flo, “Did you ever know that me and Ron had an open relationship?” Despite Flo being visibly shocked, Shamari continued, “There was a point where he can do his thing and I can do mine. I initiated the open marriage. We were going through some really bad times. It was a girl that I was interested at the time. I wanted to do something different. I was bi-curious.”

And in motherly fashion, Flo replied, “When you open up the doors you let the devil in.”

Mrs. DeVoe wasn’t done yet. During a gathering, in which all of the ladies were coming together for the first time, Shamari immediately opened up about her love/sex life with her husband. NeNe Leakes, who seemed very intrigued and supportive said, “I like that. Do you tell him ‘I’m going to have sex tonight ?’” Devoe replied, “Yes.”

Kandi, who many thought would have been all for it, wasn’t as into the idea. She said, “I know everybody says because you’ve tried a threesome before you’re so open-minded. No. I’m not that open-minded,” she admitted. 

Devoe went on to explain how the deal worked, as long as she was only with women. “There was nothing off limits. We could do anything. It was awesome.” 

Then Nene asked, “What if you want to get a man with a big chest and big d*ck, you can’t get that?” Devoe replied, “As long as I was able to go about in my bi-curious ways then I was cool with that. I didn’t want to be with another man because I had my husband. I slept with two women, he slept with about 10. I started the open relationship and I ended the open relationship. I realized the grass wasn’t greener on the other side.”
