Last month, Nicki Minaj was sued by French stylist Maher Jridi, the man behind the rapper’s classic, sexy but futuristic Paris Fashion Week wardrobe in 2017. In the legal documents obtained by TMZ, Jridi said he dropped thousands on Minaj’s rented wardrobe, but never got the pieces back.
At the time, Jridi said he was slapped with a $74,000 lawsuit to cover the costs for the missing clothes, so, in turn, he filed a suit against Minaj for the bill.
But now, according to TMZ, Minaj has fired back in a countersuit against her former stylist, claiming she doesn’t owe him anything. In fact, in legal docs obtained by the publication, Minaj said Jridi is the one that owes her.
Minaj denied the allegations and accused Jridi of pocketing a lump sum of cash Minaj overpaid for his services. According to the docs, Minaj even has proof that Jridi knew about the $12,000 overpayment and agreed to return it, but never did. So, as a result, she countersued for the amount, plus legal fees.
In the meantime, Maher says Minaj’s claims are not true but adds that the legal process will prove it.
