In the midst of the Oscars drama, it seems as though social media has done its P.I. work once again. Old tweets from 3 popular, white female comedians have surfaced.
Like many human beings, #AmySchumer, #ChelseaHandler and #SarahSilverman have tweeted things in their past life that they may or may not have meant. And taking into consideration they are comedians, you would think they would be granted passes for having no filter.
In 2010, Handler tweeted a photo with the caption, “This is what a f*g bird likes[sic] like when he flexes.” Also in 2010, Silverman tweeted, “I don’t mean this in a hateful way but the new bachelorette’s a f***ot.” And in 2012, Schumer tweeted, “Enjoy Skyfall f*gs. I’m bout to get knee deep in Helen Hunt #thesessions.” These tweets seem mighty familiar huh?
But, what will happen to these fellow comedians in the upcoming days or weeks? We are here to watch this all unfold.
