The 25th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards Releases 2018 Nominations, “Black Panther,” “Crazy Rich Asians” And More In The Running

The Screen Actors Guild Awards has released this year’s list of nominations.

This is the 25th year for the annual SAG Awards, and several films like “Black Panther,” ”BlacKkKlansman” and more have made it to the nominations list. “A Star is Born” has four nominations including best actor for Bradley Cooper, best actress for Lady Gaga, best ensemble and best supporting actor for Sam Elliott. “BlacKkKlansman” and “The Favourite” follow after.

As for television, “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” and “Ozark” both received four nominations, while “Barry,” “GLOW,” “The Handmaid’s Tale,” and “The Kominsky Method” all won three nominations. The nominations were announced by Awkwafina and Laverne Cox at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood, Calif. Variety reports SAG-AFTRA president Gabrielle Carteris introduced the presenters, who announced nominations for acting in television and film. SAG Awards committee chair JoBeth Williams and committee member Elizabeth McLaughlin revealed this year’s stunt ensemble nominees.

Other categories like Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture include “A Star Is Born,” “Black Panther,” “BlacKkKlansman,” “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “Crazy Rich Asians.” For Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Leading Role, the list includes Emily Blunt, “Mary Poppins Returns,” Glenn Close, “The Wife,” Olivia Colman, “The Favourite,” Lady Gaga, “A Star Is Born,” Melissa McCarthy, “Can You Ever Forgive Me?”  Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role lists Christian Bale, “Vice,” Bradley Cooper, “A Star Is Born,” Rami Malek, “Bohemian Rhapsody,” Viggo Mortensen, “Green Book,” and John David Washington, “BlacKkKlansman” as nominees.

The 25th Annual SAG Awards will take place on Jan. 27. at 8 p.m. ET/PT. A host has yet to be named.
