Soulja Boy Launching Esports Franchise, Will Compete With “Fortnite” And “Overwatch”

Soulja Boy has got a brand new bag in the ESports world, the rapper reveals.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

TMZ Sports caught up with the rapper who explained he would be launching his own Esports franchise in 2019 which is set to compete with Fortnite.

Earlier last week, Soulja announced he would be creating his video game console named SouljaGame Console. The console will reportedly host more than 800 classic video games from Nintendo and PlayStation. But Soulja wants to take the business move further by making his own video game series. “We’re gonna be finding talent, hiring talent,” Soulja said.

The 28-year-old claims he is good friends with Twitch streamer #Ninja,  who has been teaching him about the business and plans on helping Soulja out with the new venture. Soulja has released two video game consoles so far which were named the Retro SouljaBoy Mini, which looks very similar to the Game Boy pocket and allows players to play emulated games, Newsweek reports. The other is The SouljaGame Fuze.

While Ninja’s contract with Luminosity, his gaming team, is reportedly up soon, Soulja says he knows hiring Ninja will be expensive.
