A Boston comedy show took an interesting turn during Pete Davidson’s New Year’s Eve set.
The “Saturday Night Live” comedian made his first appearance since his recent suicidal scare. What was a momentous day for Ariana Grande with the release of her number one hit “Thank U, Next,” was a “sad day” for her ex-fiance, Pete. He openly admitted to the engaged audience how caught off guard he was by the breakup anthem.
“That s*** came out before I had to put on a f****** duck hat and be like, ‘derrrp here’s the pizza!’ So all my friends were there. It was a sad day. We didn’t know it was going to happen.”
He made light of the confession, though, bragging that he’s not exactly lacking where it counts, if you know what we mean.
Pete, then, moved on to another troublesome topic that seemed to be brewing in his mind: Louis C.K. The April 2017 show that C.K. hosted had a dampered effect on Pete, who seemed to have problems gelling with the guest host.
Apparently, the SNL actor didn’t take too kindly to C.K.’s insensitive concern about his weed smoking habits. Pete said the comedian even spoke out in front of him telling producers, “all this kid does is smoke weed, and he’s gonna smoke his career away.”
Coincidentally, C.K. found his own ill-fate after facing sexual misconduct allegations. Of course, it wouldn’t be a true Pete Davidson show if he didn’t throw in a cringy punchline saying, “Then five years later this motherf*****’s been locking doors and jerking off in front of people.” He added, “I got a Harry Potter tattoo. Then the next day Alan Rickman, the guy who played Snape died, and I was like, oh, what a weird coincidence. Then I got a Willy Wonka tattoo. Next day—Gene Wilder dies. Now I’m like, alright, that’s a coincidence, that’s weird. So I’m thinking of getting a tattoo of Louis C.K., what do you guys think?”
