An online dating story out of Arizona has people talking. According to court documents obtained by the Arizona Republic, a Phoenix woman named Jaqueline met a man on a dating site called Luxy in July 2017. She told investigators the site advertised that it could connect users with verified millionaires.
After one date, police were called to the man’s Paradise Valley home, where Jaqueline was reportedly parked outside. Officers told her to leave. Shortly after, the man began receiving threatening text messages, according to the documents.
Early reports in 2017 said she sent about 65,000 messages. The newly obtained court documents put the total at more than 159,000 texts over roughly ten months. Jaqueline reportedly told investigators she sent around 500 a day.
Among the alleged messages, police say one read, “I’d wear ur fascia n the top of ur skull n ur hands n feet.” Another allegedly said she would make sushi out of the man’s kidneys.
The man reported a sighting near his home in December 2017, but police could not find her. On April 8, 2018, he called police again after seeing someone inside his home on a security camera while he was out of town. According to the Arizona Republic, body camera video shows officers finding Jaqueline there. She was taken into custody and charged with trespassing, and a large knife was reportedly found in her car.
Police records say she kept sending messages after her release. She has pleaded not guilty to stalking and criminal trespassing, and the Arizona Republic reports she is being held at the Maricopa County Jail with trial expected to begin early next month.
The charges are allegations, and she is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
