According to Chicago Police, Elizabeth Harris, professionally known as rapper, singer and songwriter Cupcakke, has been confirmed safe after posting an unsettling tweet threatening suicide.
“I’m about to commit suicide,” CupcakKe wrote on Twitter Monday night, before it was reposted to Instagram with the caption, “thank you for everything y’all have done for me I really appreciate it.”
Shortly after the post, Chicago police responded to the rapper’s home and transported her to a hospital. Her friend, Elijah Daniel, took to Twitter to share the news.
“UPDATE: Chicago Police got to Elizabeth’s place and she has been taken to a hospital. I don’t have any further information beyond that, but will update when I do,” Daniel wrote, before adding, “UPDATE: Police not able to give me anymore details other than Elizabeth is OKAY and at the hospital.”
