R. Kelly’s manager has threatened the parents of one of the singer’s “sex cult” victims, and police have issued an arrest warrant for his former manager after he allegedly threatened the same victim’s parents this past summer.
As the dark details of Kelly’s years of abuse continue to unravel, each day new pieces of information are reported. That latest report shows the parents of alleged victim #JoycelynSavage were threatened by Kelly’s managers, #DonRussell and James Mason, before and after their cooperation with the docu-series “Surviving R. Kelly.”
In the police report Joycelyn’s father, Timothy Savage, received text messages from Russell saying it would “be best for him and his family if the documentary [Surviving R. Kelly] does not air.” Savage put Russell on speaker while an officer was present at their home. Russell reportedly said the Savages were providing “false information” for the documentary. Timothy called the police to his Georgia home on January 3 around 6 a.m. saying he was receiving threats via text from Russell.
In addition to Russell’s threats, police have issued an arrest warrant for Kelly’s former manager, #JamesMason. CNN reports the warrant was issued over the summer after Mason threatened to kill Timothy. The incident occurred in May 2018. In the police report, Timothy said Mason stated, “I’m gonna do harm to you and your family when I see you I’m gonna get you, I’m going to f***ing kill you.”⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Timothy reported Mason to the Henry County Police. The Savages say they haven’t heard from Joycelyn in two years. When contacted by CNN, Mason said he had “no comment” and referred any additional questions to his lawyer.
