Looks like Dame Dash’s mission to publicly press Lee Daniels over a 2015 loan agreement has officially paid off, as The Blast reports the mogul has used the money to pay off his own debt.
In documents obtained by the publication, Dash reached a confidential settlement with Kerison & Willoughby Capital after he coughed up the cash that Kerison had been trying to collect for the last eight years.
Back in 2011, a judge ruled in favor of the company and ordered Dash to pay an undisclosed amount. However, after years of no payment, the company tried to sell off interest in Dash’s company with his ex-wife Rachel Roy, but the attempt was unsuccessful.
But, shortly after Dash dropped his $5 million lawsuit against Daniels, in which he accused Daniels of breach of contract over a Richard Pryor biopic after Daniels dropped the cash, the Hip-Hop mogul reportedly turned around and paid off his debt to Kerison.
“Monies owed to Dash from a third-party are being paid” to Kerison, the settlement read, adding that, Dash, “through his own exclusive efforts,” paid off the debt and now wants the court order to reflect it’s been paid in full.
